Our History

Our restaurant, Brock’s Riverside Grill, was founded in September, 1999 by Leo LaPointe and Todd Crompton. Leo worked in various restaurants in Northern Virginia and D.C. such as Ruth’s Chris, Blackie’s D.C., Samantha’s and Sweet Water Tavern. A graduate of James Madison University, Todd also has extensive experience in a variety of restaurants in Northern Virginia and D.C. such as, Sign of the Wale, Blackie’s D.C., The Harbor Inn, Main St. USA and Sweet Water Tavern. Jason Smith worked previously at The Landing Restaurant on Smith Mountain Lake while taking a hiatus from Mary Washington College. Upon his return to Fredericksburg in August of 1999 he met Todd and Leo and has been working at Brock's ever since. When he graduated in 2002 he accepted a management position within the company which eventually grew into a partnership. Billy LaPointe was a General Manager at Shoppers Food Warehouse during the time of Brock's inception. He joined the team in October 2001 as a bartender and through the years his responsibilities grew into a management role and eventually into a partnership as well. We took our experience and applied it to this unique location on the Rappahannock River in Old Town Fredericksburg. Our menu is American Steak and Seafood with a Southwestern flair. We use the highest quality ingredients in all our recipes and receive deliveries daily, ensuring the freshest product possible for our guests.
